Cloud security tools enhance container supply chain protection

Cloud security and container management tools are evolving to address increasing supply chain attack vectors. Wiz has announced the general availability of its image integrity validation feature via the Wiz admission controller. This capability allows organizations to ensure that container images are signed and verified before deployment, preventing the use of tampered or malicious images.

In parallel, Azure Container Registry provides features designed to enhance supply chain security and operational efficiency. These include geo-replication to reduce cross-region egress and speed up node startup, private endpoints for enhanced networking, and ACR Tasks, which allow container builds to run directly within the registry’s compute environment.
