Cloudera expands AI and data platform reach in Middle East and Asia-Pacific

Cloudera has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Muroon, the digital enablement subsidiary of Tawuniya, to support technological ambitions related to Saudi Vision 2030. The partnership aims to help regional organizations modernize technology capabilities and accelerate digital transformation through Cloudera’s hybrid data, analytics, and AI platforms. The collaboration will focus on delivering secure data exchange and modern cloud architecture, allowing organizations to deploy AI workloads across private data centers and cloud environments with unified governance.

Separately, Cloudera has been recognized as a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Asia/Pacific Sovereign AI Platform 2026 Vendor Assessment. The recognition highlights the company’s ability to deploy AI workloads across private, hybrid, edge, and air-gapped environments. This comes as many enterprises in the Asia-Pacific region face challenges regarding data residency, privacy, and compliance, with research indicating that a significant portion of enterprises have delayed AI projects due to governance concerns.
