Cloudera launches Anywhere Cloud for hybrid agentic AI

Cloudera has launched Cloudera Anywhere Cloud, a new platform designed to build, deploy, and scale production-grade data and AI applications across multi-cloud, on-premises, and sovereign infrastructure. The platform aims to address challenges where AI initiatives stall due to fragmented infrastructure and data sovereignty requirements.

By utilizing a modular architecture and an agentic copilot, the platform allows organizations to automate workflows and run AI capabilities directly against proprietary data without moving sensitive assets. This approach is intended to provide the flexibility of the cloud while maintaining complete data control and ownership.

Built on open standards such as Apache Iceberg and the Polaris catalog, the platform supports engines like Spark, Kafka, and Trino. Cloudera identified that 73% of IT leaders believe infrastructure performance constraints have hindered operational initiatives. Design partners for the launch include ExxonMobil, Mastercard, IQVIA, ADMIRAL Technologies, and IXEN.
