Cloudera launches Anywhere Cloud for multi-cloud AI deployment

Cloudera has announced Cloudera Anywhere Cloud, a new platform designed to build, deploy, and scale production-grade data and AI applications across multi-cloud, sovereign infrastructure, and on-premises environments.

The platform utilizes a modular architecture to provide a unified cloud experience without requiring the movement or replication of sensitive data. This approach aims to reduce infrastructure costs and mitigate compliance risks associated with data transfers. By allowing AI capabilities to run directly against existing data estates, the platform addresses challenges related to fragmented infrastructure and data sovereignty.

Key features include a single control plane for managing independent services, a self-service marketplace called ‘Blueprint’ for deploying engines like Spark, Kafka, and Trino, and an integrated agentic AI copilot. This copilot uses natural language to automate workflows and infrastructure management. Cloudera’s Chief Product Officer, Leo Brunnik, stated that the platform allows enterprises to keep intellectual property under their control while optimizing infrastructure costs and business models.
