Cloudflare launches AI-driven vulnerability discovery and remediation service

Cloudflare has announced early access to its new Vulnerability Discovery and Remediation service, which is now integrated into Cloudflare Managed Defense. This invitation-only service is designed to help customers detect and mitigate vulnerabilities within their codebases.

The service utilizes the OpenAI Daybreak Defense Network, employing OpenAI Daybreak models—including GPT-5. 6 Cyber—to perform reconnaissance, hunting, and validation on authorized codebases. Upon detecting a vulnerability, the system proposes solutions and automatically checks proposed patches and mitigations before presenting them to the user for review.

By leveraging Cloudflare’s global network, the tool provides context-aware insights, such as identifying which routes are active, the volume of traffic they carry, and existing security controls. This aims to help security teams prioritize critical findings in an environment where AI-driven attacks are increasing the speed of vulnerability exploitation.
