Cloudways launches managed hosting for AI agents

Cloudways, a managed hosting service owned by DigitalOcean, has launched Managed AI Agents to simplify the deployment and management of AI infrastructure. The new service is designed to help developers and businesses move AI agents from the proof-of-concept phase into production by handling server provisioning, Docker environments, SSL certificates, and ongoing maintenance.

The initial rollout features two prominent open-source agents: OpenClaw and Hermes. OpenClaw has approximately 386,000 GitHub stars, while Hermes, developed by Nous Research, has 228,000. Each deployment operates within an isolated environment, and Cloudways validates agent runtime updates before rollout to ensure stability.

A key feature of the service is the 1-click Cloudways MCP integration, which allows agents to interact with existing servers and applications hosted on the platform. Cloudways has indicated that additional open-source AI agents and capabilities are planned for the future.
