Cloverdale Community Association opens new community garden

The Cloverdale Community Association (CCA) has officially opened a new community garden located on the south side of the Cloverdale Rec Centre at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds. The project, which held its official opening on September 11, aims to address food insecurity by providing public training.

CCA President Ram Sabharwal described the garden as a “monumental event for Cloverdale” and a realization of a proposal discussed by the board of directors two years ago. The initiative aligns with the CCA’s mandate of sustainability, community engagement, advocacy, and preservation. CCA Director Paul Orazietti credited Atkinson Landscaping for their professional work on the project, noting the speed of construction following the start of groundworks.
