Cléry-sur-Somme to host inaugural Somme valley hiking and cycling event

Le Bonhomme Picard, in partnership with the Société du Canal Seine-Nord Europe, is organizing the first ‘Rando du Bonhomme, cap sur le Canal’ on Sunday, September 13, in Cléry-sur-Somme.

The event offers various routes for both cyclists and walkers to explore the Somme valley. Cyclists can choose between a 35 km loop and a 15 km loop. Walkers have options for 9 km or 18 km paths, including a route from the Maison du Canal de Péronne along the towpath.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the Canal Seine-Nord Europe project through two educational stops focusing on ecological developments and the future Somme canal bridge. The event includes food trucks and is priced at 5 euros per person.
