Club Activo 20-30 launches healthcare and event updates in Panama and Costa Rica

Club Activo 20-30 Panamá has launched ‘El Corazón de Panamá’, a major initiative aimed at transforming neonatal and pediatric healthcare in the country’s central provinces. Developed in partnership with the Ministry of Health (MINSA), the project focuses on Veraguas, Herrera, Los Santos, and Coclé. The goal is to establish a robust regional network to reduce the need for high-risk transfers of premature infants to the capital, which currently faces a critical situation where approximately 10% of annual births are premature.

In Costa Rica, organizers of the Teletón have announced that the 2026 charity marathon will return to its original venue, the Gimnasio Nacional in La Sabana. This marks a return to the location where the event first began in 1984, after years of being hosted at the Palacio de los Deportes and the BN Arena. The 2026 event is scheduled to take place on November 20 and 21.
