Club América faces coaching change as André Jardine departs

Brazilian coach André Jardine has left Club América after the team reached an agreement with him. He said offers are coming in, but he does not expect to take a new job in Mexico, hinting at a possible return to Brazil or a move to Europe in the coming weeks.

Club América’s hierarchy remains unchanged, with Santiago Baños and Emilio Azcárraga continuing as the sport‑directors while new investment group General Atlantic’s representative Ferrán Reverter will handle administrative matters. The club is also preparing for the arrival of former Uruguay coach Guillermo Almada as the next head coach.

Midfielder Jonathan Dos Santos is reported to be considering retirement and a departure from the club, ending his stint as the team restructures its roster under the incoming coach.
