Club América faces winless streak in major Mexican football rivalries

Club América is currently facing a prolonged winless streak in its most significant rivalries within Liga MX. The team has gone over a year without a victory in matches against Chivas, Cruz Azul, and Pumas.

In their last eight encounters against these specific rivals, the club has recorded four losses and four draws. This period of struggle has spanned two different coaching tenures, moving from André Jardine to the current management of Guillermo Almada. Recent results include a 4-3 loss to Cruz Azul and a 2-2 draw against Chivas.

Despite the slump, América remains one of the most valuable squads in the league, with a roster valued at approximately 126 million euros. The team seeks to break this streak in upcoming matches, including a scheduled fixture against Pumas at the Estadio Olímpico Universitario.
