Club América fails to sign Grêmio striker Carlos Vinícius
Club América's attempt to sign Brazilian striker Carlos Vinícius from Grêmio has concluded without an agreement. Negotiations for the 31-year-old forward, who has previously played for clubs such as Benfica, Fulham, and Galatasaray, reportedly took place approximately one month ago.
Reports indicate that América presented an initial offer of six million dollars, but the proposal was rejected. While some initial reports suggested optimism for a deal, subsequent information confirms that the talks did not prosper and the case is now considered closed.
América continues to seek a center-forward for the Apertura 2026 season. To date, the club has confirmed two reinforcements: Óscar Perea and midfielder Edwin Cerrillo.
