Club América Femenil maintains undefeated streak in Liga MX

Club América Femenil remains undefeated in the Apertura 2026 tournament despite a recent 2-2 draw against Atlas. Midfielder Xcaret Pineda stated that while the team lost its perfect winning streak, they still feel “invincible,” noting that every team faces difficult moments and areas for improvement.

Following the match against Atlas, striker Geyse Ferreira set a historic milestone for the club. With 13 goals this season, she became the first América player to score in eight consecutive regular-season matches, surpassing previous records held by club legends Arlindo Dos Santos and Horacio López Salgado. Ferreira expressed that it is “an honor” to break the mark.

The team is now preparing for their ninth match of the tournament against León, scheduled for September 28. Pineda emphasized the need to maintain their style of play and improve defensive compactness to secure three points in the upcoming away game.
