Club América negotiates Israel Reyes transfer with AS Roma
Italian Serie A club AS Roma made an initial offer of US$3 million for Mexican defender Israel Reyes, which Club América rejected as far below the player’s valuation. América estimates Reyes at US$8 million but has indicated willingness to lower the price to about US$6.5 million.
Subsequent talks show América ready to sell Reyes for US$5 million provided it retains 50 percent of his economic rights for any future transfer. Roma is reviewing this counter‑proposal while the player, who featured in five World Cup‑qualifying matches for Mexico, seeks a move to Europe. Negotiations between the clubs remain ongoing with no final agreement reached.
