Club América regains key players ahead of Monterrey match
Club América manager Guillermo Almada is preparing his squad for an upcoming match against Monterrey in Matchday 11 of the Apertura 2026 tournament. The team has seen a significant boost in availability following the FIFA international break, with players such as Israel Reyes, Isaías Violante, Dagoberto Espinoza, Brian Rodríguez, and Óscar Perea returning to training immediately upon their arrival in Mexico City.
In addition to the returning international players, the squad benefits from the recovery of goalkeeper Luis Ángel Malagón from an Achilles tendon injury. New defensive reinforcements Santiago Bueno and Santiago Ramos Mingo are also available to strengthen the lineup.
The match, scheduled to take place at the Estadio Azteca, will also serve as the debut for the club’s new cream-colored jersey, marking the team’s 110th anniversary.
