Club América's pursuit of Colombian winger Jáminton Campaz stalls over price dispute

Club América's negotiations to sign 26‑year‑old Colombian forward Jáminton Campaz from Argentine side Rosario Central have stalled. The Mexican club reportedly offered US$6 million, while Rosario Central is demanding around US$8 million, leaving the transfer in doubt and risking a last‑minute collapse.

Campaz, who has been training with Rosario Central after a brief absence intended to pressure his club, has expressed a desire to move to Liga MX. The unresolved fee dispute also ties into the potential departure of América forward Brian Rodríguez. Rosario Central remains unwilling to release the player without meeting its valuation, and the club is preparing for upcoming Copa Libertadores matches.

Both clubs are expected to continue talks, but the deal’s future remains uncertain as the deadline for the Apertura 2026 window approaches.
