Club Atlético 9 de Julio wins South American newcom championship

The mixed +50 team from Club Atlético 9 de Julio, known as ‘Los Kosiukos’, has been crowned South American newcom champions in Paso de los Toros, Uruguay. This victory completes a triple crown for the Argentine side, following their previous provincial and national titles.

After winning their preliminary group against teams from Paraguay and Uruguay, the squad advanced to the Gold Cup. Following a semifinal victory against a team from Córdoba, they defeated Club Nazareno from Misiones in the final with a score of two sets to zero.

The championship team, coached by Susana Reale, includes Maricel Oyarzabal, Karina De Buono, Alejandra Aramburu, Daniela Aniasi, Claudia Cañizal, Marcelo Dicásolo, Diego Diez, Marcelo González, Adrián Spalla, and Oscar Spalla.
