Club Atlético Ituzaingó and Álvaro Arbeloa mark historical milestones
Club Atlético Ituzaingó marks the 64th anniversary of the inauguration of its first concrete grandstands. On October 6, 1962, under the presidency of Reinaldo Peja, the club modernized its stadium infrastructure by constructing the central section of the lateral grandstand and installing two rows of seating. The inaugural match saw the team defeat Juventud Unida 5-3. The grandstand, later named ‘Tuerca Villalba’ in honor of fan Carlos Villalba, remains a significant historical landmark for the institution.
In Spain, former footballer Álvaro Arbeloa has highlighted his deep ancestral roots in the town of Carcastillo, Navarra. Despite being born in Salamanca, Arbeloa maintains a strong connection to the village where his grandparents lived. This connection was notably demonstrated in 2010 when, following Spain's World Cup victory, he visited the town to celebrate with locals. At the time, the local mayor was his uncle, Julio Prieto Arbeloa.
