Club Brugge and Crystal Palace negotiate Romain Esse transfer
Club Brugge submitted an opening offer of €8 million plus €2 million in bonuses for 21‑year‑old England U‑21 forward Romain Esse. Crystal Palace rejected the bid, but negotiations between the Belgian and English clubs are ongoing.
Esse joined Palace from Millwall in January for a reported £14.5 million. He made eight appearances before a loan to Coventry City, where he scored twice and assisted once in 17 games, helping the Sky Blues win promotion to the Premier League. Palace, meanwhile, is looking to strengthen its squad after the departure of defender Maxence Lacroix and has shown interest in other players, but the Esse deal remains a focal point of the summer transfer window.
