Club Brugge completes transfers of Matteo Dams and Jan Virgili

Club Brugge has completed two significant player transfers to bolster its squad for the upcoming season and Champions League campaign.

Matteo Dams, a 22-year-old left-back, has joined the club from Al-Ahli for a fee of 4 million euros. Dams, a former PSV Eindhoven player and Belgian U21 international, signed a contract through mid-2030. He arrives to provide competition at left-back following the departure of Bjorn Meijer to Sampdoria. Dams expressed enthusiasm for returning to Belgium and joining a club with such history and ambition.

Additionally, 20-year-old winger Jan Virgili has transferred to Club Brugge from RCD Mallorca. Virgili, who aims to contribute through vertical play and one-on-one actions, noted that the prospect of playing in the Champions League was a primary motivator for the move. He mentioned receiving congratulations from former Club Brugge player Ferran Jutglà regarding the transfer.
