Club CEFF Copiapó hosts youth football tournament in Chile
The fourth edition of the Campeonato Semillero de Campeones continues in Chile with a new matchday from Friday to Sunday at the University of Atacama. Organized by Rodrigo González, president of Club CEFF Copiapó, the tournament features 12 clubs competing in the Sub‑8, Sub‑10, Sub‑12, Sub‑14 and Sub‑16 categories. Sub‑8, Sub‑10 and Sub‑12 play a liguilla format, while Sub‑14 and Sub‑16 are decided by total points. The weekend includes preliminary friendly matches between the senior CEFF Copiapó team and the adult selection of Copiapó. González highlighted the economic challenges faced this year but affirmed that sporting and administrative goals have been met, and he announced plans for a closing ceremony with awards and invitations to national club scouts.
