Club de Arjuna employees protest workplace closure amid land dispute

Hundreds of employees from Club de Arjuna held a peaceful protest in front of the Arjuna Hyperbowling building on Jalan Raya Kedoya, West Jakarta, on Thursday, September 17, 2026. The demonstration was triggered by the closure and sealing of the facility's operational area.

The closure is reportedly a consequence of a land dispute involving the illegal occupation of land owned by PT HD Arjuna by a community organization. This situation has prevented employees from working, leading to a loss of income for hundreds of families.

During the protest, workers displayed posters with messages such as “Kami Perlu Makan, Jangan Tutup Tempat Kerja Kami” (We need to eat, do not close our workplace) and “Anak Kami Perlu Sekolah” (Our children need to go to school). The event remained orderly under police supervision.

Irwan Hadianto, General Manager of PT Arjuna Prabadwipa Amarta, expressed deep empathy for the workers, acknowledging the protest as a legitimate expression of the employees' distress regarding the dispute.
