Club Esportiu Europa seeks larger venue for derby against Sant Andreu
Club Esportiu Europa is exploring options to move its upcoming Primera Federació derby against Unió Esportiva Sant Andreu (UESA), scheduled for the weekend of November 14-15, away from its home ground, Can Dragó.
Club president Hèctor Ibar stated the move aims to accommodate a larger crowd. While Can Dragó has a capacity of approximately 3,000, the club seeks to host more than 5,000 spectators to increase ticket revenue. One option under consideration is Nova Creu Alta in Sabadell, which holds 20,000 people.
Negotiations are also reportedly underway with Espanyol to host the match at the RCDE Stadium, which has a capacity of over 37,000. Other alternatives, such as the Johan Cruyff Stadium and the Montigalà municipal stadium, have reportedly been ruled out. UESA management has expressed dissatisfaction with the possibility of playing at Narcís Sala, though they acknowledge the local government could mandate the venue if necessary.
