Club General Antonio Duvergé multi-use facility inaugurated in Honduras sector
The Ministry of Sports and Recreation (Miderec) has officially delivered the reconstructed multi-use facility at the Club General Antonio Duvergé, located in the Honduras sector of the Distrito Nacional.
The project involved an investment of RD$31,179,736.32 to renovate a 1,100-square-meter area. The improvements include the installation of metal structures, reinforced concrete playing surfaces, bleachers, mixed bathrooms, and locker rooms for athletes. The facility is designed to provide a protected space for various sports, such as basketball and volleyball, as well as community gatherings.
During the inauguration, Minister Kelvin Cruz noted that this project marks the 62nd sports infrastructure delivery by the ministry in just over two years. To ensure the longevity of the investment, a volunteer group was sworn in to oversee the maintenance and care of the new space.
