Club Kid selected as closing film for PAFF festival

The comedy 'Club Kid', written, directed, and starring Jordan Firstman, has been selected as the closing film for the tenth edition of the PAFF film festival in Amsterdam. The film will be screened simultaneously in six Amsterdam cinemas on Sunday, October 11.

The story follows Peter, a New York City club promoter whose lifestyle is upended when he discovers he has a ten-year-old son, Arlo, from a past encounter in England. Critics have praised the film for its pacing, sharp dialogue, and authentic portrayal of New York's nightlife diversity. Following its screening in the 'Un Certain Regard' section at the Cannes Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Queer Palm, distributor A24 reportedly acquired the rights for $17 million.

'Club Kid' is scheduled for a wider theatrical release in the Netherlands starting November 5.
