Club León goalkeeper Irving Martínez targeted in home robbery

Irving Martínez, a substitute goalkeeper for Club León, was targeted in a home robbery in the La Valenciana neighborhood of León, Guanajuato. The incident occurred around 4:00 AM on Saturday as Martínez and his family were returning to their residence following a match in Mexico City.

Security footage revealed that six masked men entered the home approximately 30 minutes before the family arrived. The intruders stole valuables, including jewelry and clothing. When Martínez attempted to pursue one of the suspects, the individual produced a firearm and fired a shot at close range. Martínez was uninjured during the encounter.

Five of the suspects managed to escape through the rear of the property. Local police arrived approximately 30 minutes after the family requested assistance, but the perpetrators remain at large.
