Club Med opens first all-inclusive resort in South Africa

Club Med has opened its first high-end all-inclusive resort in South Africa, named Club Med South Africa Beach & Safari. Located on the Dolphin Coast in the KwaZulu-Natal province, north of Durban, the property sits on 32 hectares of dunes, coastal forests, and beaches along the Indian Ocean.

The resort offers a combined experience of beach activities and safari expeditions through the Vikela Safari Lodge, an 18,000-hectare private reserve home to the ‘Big Five’: lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinoceroses. The location is approximately 30 minutes from King Shaka International Airport.

Janyck Daudet, CEO of Club Med for South America, stated that the opening aims to provide travelers with access to exclusive destinations that combine beach environments with safari experiences.
