Club Med to Open €135 Million San Sicario Alpine Resort in Italy
REAM SGR, through its Fondo Immobiliare Itera fund, has completed the purchase of the San Sicario Alta area from Club Med in the municipality of Cesana Torinese. The €135 million investment will fund a new premium all‑inclusive Club Med resort on the Via Lattea ski domain. The development will feature more than 400 rooms and over 1,000 beds, targeting international families and year‑round Alpine tourism. Construction is already underway and the resort is scheduled to open in December 2028.
The project is designed to meet high environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards, with energy‑efficient facilities that blend into the mountain landscape. REAM SGR’s director‑general Oronzo Perrini said the acquisition “represents a key step for the future of the Italian mountains and the ability of territories to attract quality investment.” Club Med Italy CEO Arnaldo Aiolfi highlighted that the new resort will complement the existing Club Med Pragelato site and strengthen the group’s presence in the Via Lattea region. The investment is expected to generate significant local economic benefits, including job creation, involvement of Italian supply‑chain firms and increased tourism revenue throughout the year.
