Club Piragüismo Cuenca wins two medals at Liga Centro regatta

Club Piragüismo Cuenca concluded its participation in the VI Liga Centro de Aguas Tranquilas at the Judex 2026 Extremeño Sports Games held in Guijo de Granadilla, Cáceres. A delegation of twelve paddlers secured two individual medals during the event.

Mateo Pérez Lozano won gold in the Infantil K1 3000m category, while Diego Ruiz González earned a bronze medal in the Alevín B K1 1500m event following a close sprint. Other notable placements included a fourth-place finish by Inés Pérez Lozano in the Alevín B K1 1500m and fifth-place finishes by Bruno Velázquez Checa and Javier Patiño Toledano in their respective categories.

The club finished sixth in the general team classification for the specific regatta. Pending official federation results, the club is currently positioned to potentially reach the top three in the overall absolute classification of the inter-regional tournament.
