Emelec appoints Ezequiel Medrán as new manager
Club Sport Emelec has appointed Argentine manager Ezequiel Medrán to lead the first team following the dismissal of Cristian Nasuti. Medrán arrived in Guayaquil on August 27, 2026, to take over the technical direction.
Nasuti was removed from his position by the club's board, led by President José David Jiménez, due to irregular results in the LigaPro 2026 season.
