Club Sport Herediano eliminated from Copa Centroamericana

Club Sport Herediano has been eliminated from the Concacaf Copa Centroamericana group stage despite a 2-1 victory over Antigua GFC. The Costa Rican side finished third in Group B with 7 points.

Although Herediano matched the point total of Honduras' Marathón, they were eliminated due to a superior goal difference held by the Honduran club. Herediano finished with a goal difference of +2, while Marathón finished with +5.

For Herediano, the goals were scored by Luis Ronaldo Araya in the 52nd minute and Abner Hudson in the 72nd minute. Antigua GFC's lone goal was scored by José Ardón in the 69th minute. The loss marks the second consecutive year the club has been eliminated in the group stage of this competition.
