Clube do Remo faces election tension and transparency demands

The upcoming elections for Clube do Remo have been marked by internal tension and calls for financial transparency. The Frente Azulina group has demanded the disclosure of the current administration's financial accounts before the November 8 vote. The group claims that the accounts have not yet been analyzed by the Deliberative Council or made available to members, which they argue hinders the ability of associates to evaluate the current leadership before electing new officials.

Demands for transparency are directed at the President of the Deliberative Council, Fábio Osório Bentes, the club's current president, Antônio Carlos Teixeira, and vice-president Glauber Gonçalves. Additionally, the President of the General Assembly, João Paulo Mendes Neto, issued a note of repudiation regarding statements attributed to a video involving opposition candidate Gilmar Nascimento.

In a separate development, presidential candidate and current vice-president Glauber Gonçalves discussed potential planning for the 2027 season. While praising coach Thiago Carpini and mentioning the possibility of hiring Sérgio Papelin as a football executive, Gonçalves noted that long-term planning depends on the club's performance and divisional status. He stated that the club is currently preparing two different strategic scenarios based on whether they remain in or compete in different league tiers.
