Clube do Remo website hacked following controversy involving Neymar

The official website of the Brazilian football club Clube do Remo remains offline following a cyberattack on Saturday night. The intrusion occurred after Remo's president, Antônio Carlos Teixeira (known as Tonhão), made controversial remarks calling football player Neymar a "vagabundo" during an interview.

During the hack, a group identifying themselves as "Umbrella Gang" replaced the site's original content with a montage of Tonhão and Neymar. The hackers included messages criticizing the club president, making political references regarding Neymar, and issuing provocations toward Paysandu, Remo's primary rival.

As of Sunday afternoon, the portal has not been fully restored and currently displays a "under construction" notice. Security experts note that the removal of the hackers' messages does not guarantee the environment is secure; the technical team must still investigate vulnerabilities and check for unauthorized changes to databases or administrative accounts to prevent further incursions.
