Clucky alarm app launches with mission-based wake-up features

Clucky, a new iPhone alarm app designed for habitual snoozers, has launched on the App Store. Founded by former Fanatics software engineer Adrian Angelo Abelarde, the app aims to prevent users from turning off alarms in a half-asleep state by requiring the completion of specific missions.

Users can choose to be woken up by a crowing rooster or more conventional sounds like gentle chimes and digital beeps. To dismiss the alarm, users must complete tasks such as solving math problems, memorizing tile patterns, typing text, shaking the phone, performing physical exercises like push-ups, or completing an AI camera challenge. The app also features an ‘Extra Loud Mode’ that immediately increases volume.

Clucky includes analytical features such as a ‘Rooster Report’ that grades weekly wake-up performance and tracks the average time taken to complete missions. Social features allow users to create ‘Nests’ or ‘Flocks’ to wake up simultaneously with friends or family for accountability. A pro subscription is available for $39.99 per year.
