Clueso and OK KID release new single ‘Heatwave’

German singer Clueso has released a new single titled ‘Heatwave’ in collaboration with the Cologne-based pop band OK KID. The track was released on August 28, just before the meteorological end of summer.

The collaboration was formed spontaneously after OK KID singer Jonas Schubert approached Clueso following a festival to request assistance with the song. According to Clueso, the track was completed only about a week before its release.

The song and its accompanying music video utilize a visual and lyrical contrast between summer heat and internal coldness. While the setting features sunny weather by a pool, the artists appear in heavy winter coats and fluffy hats to reflect the song's melancholic themes of exhaustion and emotional detachment despite the warm surroundings.
