Cluj County Council awards four-year snow removal contracts

The Cluj County Council has finalized a tender for snow removal services on county roads. The contracts will cover a four-year period, running from October 15, 2026, to April 30, 2030.

The tender was divided into five lots across different zones:

• Lot 1 (Huedin area): Maxi Prest RCE SRL (20,561,776 lei) • Lot 2 (Gilău area): Diferit SRL and Diferit AG SRL (16,454,840 lei) • Lot 3 (Turda area): Maxi Prest RCE SRL (22,335,060.24 lei) • Lot 4 (Gherla area): Opentrans SRL (24,387,771.16 lei) • Lot 5 (Dej area): Diferit SRL and Diferit AG SRL (16,469,300 lei)

Cluj County Council President Alin Tișe stated that the council will closely monitor the companies' activities, including through GPS systems, to ensure optimal traffic conditions. The winning companies will be responsible for winter road preparation, supplying anti-icing materials, mechanized snow removal, and providing road status updates.
