Cluj County Council begins construction on new mini-bypass road

The Cluj County Council has announced the start of construction for a new mini-bypass road using European funds. The project involves the modernization of the DJ 170B Topa Mică – Așchileu Mic road, a 5.847 km stretch designed to create an alternative transit route between the east and west of the county. Once completed, this route will allow drivers traveling from Dej, Maramureș, and Bistrița toward the A3 motorway to bypass the city of Cluj-Napoca.

Additionally, the Council has signed a contract for the rehabilitation of the DJ 103K Căpușu Mare-Râșca-Beliș road, spanning 28.6 km, to improve access to the Beliș-Fântânele tourist area. Maintenance works are also underway on the DJ 108C Gârbău – Aghireș – Leghia – DN 1 sector, covering approximately 22.5 km to improve road safety and economic mobility.

In August, the Council completed maintenance on approximately 122 km of various county roads across seven different sectors.
