Cluj County Council digitizes industrial licensing process

The Cluj County Council is working to digitalize the process of obtaining industrial licenses to reduce bureaucracy for private investors. On September 14, a delegation from the Office for Industrial Licensing, led by President Gabriel-Bogdan Şteţco, met with Cluj County Council Vice-President Radu Rațiu and other officials.

As part of this initiative, the Cluj County Council has provided free space to the Office for Industrial Licensing to establish and operationalize a territorial department within the county. This move follows a collaboration protocol signed earlier this year between the Council and the Ministry of Digitalization, Economy, Entrepreneurship, and Tourism.

Discussions focused on integrating the ‘Ghișeul Unic’ platform to streamline the approval of unique industrial licenses (LIU). The goal is to ensure that documents circulate between institutions automatically, preventing investors from having to visit multiple agencies to secure necessary documentation.
