Cluj County Council extends public transport to Cornești

The Cluj County Council is extending public transport services to the locality of Cornești within the Gârbău commune. Alin Tișe, President of the Cluj County Council, initiated a decision to extend the inter-county transport route to address mobility needs for local residents.

The proposal involves modifying the end of route T042, which currently runs from Cluj-Napoca through Baciu and Turea. The route will be extended by 6 km to reach Cornești, adding two daily trips. The project also includes the establishment of a new bus station in Cornești to facilitate easier access to schools, workplaces, and medical services.
