Cluj cultural dessert initiative raises over 2,500 euros

The “Doza de Cultură” initiative in Cluj has raised over 2,500 euros for local cultural funding through the sale of a specialized dessert. Managed by the Daisler Association, the project directs 10 percent of the proceeds from the gastronomic item to support the arts.

The funds are collected via contributions from HORECA (hotel, restaurant, and cafe) establishments that include the dessert on their menus. These proceeds are managed by the Daisler Association and will be awarded as prizes to local operators selected by a jury. The initiative aims to reach a target of approximately 6,000 euros by the end of 2026.

This project is a collaboration between the Daisler Association, the Cluj Cultural Center, and the HORECA Cluj Patronage Association. Romanian Minister of Culture Demeter Andras has recognized the initiative as a national first, noting its ability to involve the private sector and the public in supporting local culture.
