Cluj-Napoca expands public transport ticketing with 20 new machines

The Cluj-Napoca City Hall has expanded its public transport ticketing network by installing 20 new street vending machines. This investment, funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR/2022/C10), increases the total number of machines in the city from 66 to 86.

Managed by the Cluj-Napoca Public Transport Company (CTP), the new machines are located in residential areas, central zones, and high-traffic stations, including Borhanciului Street, Calea Baciului, and the Airport Park & Ride. The machines are designed to provide 24/7 access to non-personalized transport cards, electronic tickets, and subscriptions.

To promote sustainability, the equipment is equipped with photovoltaic panels for green energy use. Payments can only be made via contactless methods, such as bank cards or mobile phones.
