Cluj-Napoca hosts nearly 1,000 diaspora youths for cultural heritage program

Approximately 960 Romanian youths from the diaspora participated in the ARC Camps Program this summer, exploring the history and culture of Cluj County. Organized between July 1 and September 1, 2026, the initiative was supported for the second consecutive year by the Cluj County Council through the National Center for Tourism Information and Promotion.

Participants, including students and youth from communities in Italy, the Republic of Moldova, and Ukraine, engaged in guided tours of the historic center of Cluj-Napoca. The program also included visits to the Transylvanian Ethnographic Museum and the National Museum of Transylvanian History to foster a deeper connection with Romanian heritage and identity.

Alin Tișe, President of the Cluj County Council, described the administration's involvement as a “duty of honor,” emphasizing the importance of strengthening the sense of belonging and pride among young Romanians living abroad.
