Cluj-Napoca hosts Reading March to open Transylvania International Book Festival

The Transylvania International Book Festival (FICT) officially commenced with the ‘Reading March’ in Cluj-Napoca. Over 1,000 children and young people participated in the event, marching from the Babeș-Bolyai University area to Unirii Square while carrying their favorite books.

FICT Director Gabriel Bota described the march as an act of affirmation rather than protest, emphasizing the importance of reading for the future. Digital content creator and actor Mircea Bravo also participated, highlighting how reading fosters patience and creativity in a fast-paced world.
