Cluj County police conduct traffic blitz and investigate misconduct allegations

Authorities in Cluj County are conducting various law enforcement operations. In Turda, police carried out a blitz action overnight, checking over 70 vehicles and 163 individuals. The operation resulted in 59 sanctions, including penalties for traffic violations and driving under the influence.

Separately, a criminal investigation has been opened by the Cluj County Police Inspectorate following footage appearing online that shows local police officers allegedly mistreating homeless individuals. The investigation aims to determine the legality of the intervention and the measures taken by the local police crew during the incident.
