Cluj-Napoca Mayor meets Hungarian Minister to discuss transport and culture

Emil Boc, the Mayor of Cluj-Napoca, met with a Hungarian delegation led by Tarr Zoltán, the Minister for Social Relations and Culture, to discuss strengthening bilateral ties. The discussions focused on cultural, economic, and social cooperation, as well as infrastructure development.

Key topics included the development of the Romanian-Hungarian Business Forum and high-speed rail projects on the Budapest–Bucharest route. Additionally, officials discussed the potential reopening of the Cluj-Napoca–Budapest flight route. Mayor Boc emphasized that diversity is a resource for the city and highlighted the significant contribution of the Hungarian community to Cluj-Napoca’s cultural, academic, and economic life.
