Cluj-Napoca to launch free digital library for Baccalaureate preparation

The Cluj-Napoca City Hall is preparing to launch a free digital library featuring video lessons designed to assist students with Baccalaureate preparation. The platform, accessible via clujnapoca2030.ro, will provide free content for Romanian Language and Literature and Mathematics without requiring a special account or ID.

Announced by Mayor Emil Boc, the project is a partnership between the municipality and the Cluj County School Inspectorate. The initiative is funded by the City Hall and Local Council with 130,000 lei. The digital library will include 38 video lessons for Romanian Language and Literature and 32 lessons for Mathematics, developed by approximately 40 teachers from across the Cluj region.

The project aims to provide equitable access to supplementary preparation regardless of a family's financial situation or a student's location. While the School Inspectorate is responsible for pedagogical content and teacher selection, the municipality is managing the technical development of the platform. Public launch is scheduled for December.
