Cluj Prefecture building rehabilitation completed for 10 million euros
Rehabilitation works for the Cluj Prefecture building, an early 20th-century historical monument, have been completed at a total cost of approximately 9.56 million euros (50,167,591.88 lei).
Funding from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) accounted for less than a quarter of the total project cost, contributing approximately 2.24 million euros (11,770,622.68 lei). The project faced a 16-month delay due to public procurement disputes and contract litigation, necessitating a new design and execution contract led by a consortium including EURAS SRL.
The Art Nouveau Administrative Palace, spanning 4,453 square meters, underwent energy modernization that is expected to reduce energy consumption by approximately 70%. Upgrades include the installation of photovoltaic panels, two electric vehicle charging stations, and a lift for persons with disabilities.
