Cluj’s Emil Racoviță High School leads Romania’s Bacalaureat rankings with 9.49 average

The National College “Emil Racoviță” in Cluj‑Napoca recorded the highest average score in Romania’s Bacalaureat, achieving a 9.49 average among 81 graduates and a 100 % pass rate. Director Adrian Magdaș said the result reflects the combined effort of students, teachers and parents and noted, “We are used to strong results, but first place is something special.” Eight schools from Cluj appear among the top‑40 nationally.

In the county of Olt, student Ana Maria Știrbescu became the sole graduate to obtain a perfect 10 average on the written exams, scoring the maximum in Romanian language, mathematics, anatomy and related subjects. She plans to study Romanian‑English literature at the University of Bucharest. Nationwide, 45 candidates achieved a perfect 10 before contestations are resolved.
