Clutch announces 14th studio album ‘Wasted Lands’

Maryland rock band Clutch has announced their 14th studio album, titled ‘Wasted Lands’, which is scheduled for release on January 22, 2027, through their own label, Weathermaker Music. The announcement includes the release of the album's title track and an accompanying music video.

The album was written and recorded at the band’s Doom Saloon studio in Frederick, Maryland. It marks the first collaboration between the group and producer Machine since 2015’s ‘Psychic Warfare’. The 12-track record aims to balance experimental creativity with songs designed for live performances.

Frontman Neil Fallon noted that the title track was inspired by a social media incident where an individual falsely accused him of failing to provide a prize from a contest. The band described the songwriting process as an effort to create a great rock record that maintains the group's excitement after thirty-five years together.
