Maryland-based rock band Clutch has announced their fourteenth studio album, titled ‘Wasted Lands’, which is scheduled for release on January 22, 2027, through their own label, Weathermaker Music.

The album was written and recorded at the band’s longtime base, the Doom Saloon, in Frederick, Maryland. This project marks a reunion with producer Gene ‘Machine’ Freeman for the first time since 2015’s ‘Psychic Warfare’.

Alongside the announcement, the band released the title track ‘Wasted Lands’ and an accompanying music video. Vocalist Neil Fallon noted that the lyrical inspiration for the song stemmed from a social media dispute involving a person falsely claiming he had reneged on a contest prize.
